I wasn't expecting what I caught on June 16th. Southwest Oklahoma lit up like a Christmas tree as HP supercells graced the landscape, many tornado warned. Good moisture, instability and decent shear, albeit fairly weak in the low levels, was present this day. A north/south boundary would be the firing grounds for storms. We intercepted 3 tornado warned storms, with one likely tornado occurring northwest of Hobart, Oklahoma. The Hobart storm was one of my favorites for the year! Click on the pic for a larger image. Enjoy!!

Late evening shots near Meade, Kansas on the 15th. I had to put these in!

Hobart, Oklahoma supercell as we approached it. Tornado warned for good reason!

Possible tornado. Strong rotation was seen and it sure looks like a cone here.

A few minutes later as the storm's structure only gets better.

Wow! Doesn't get much better than this!

Tornado warned supercell south near Vernon, Texas.

Nice CG as the storms gusts out.

Decent structure with the Vernon supercell.
