2008
Over a several day period, severe storms developed over eastern Colorado and western Nebraska. I was able to chase several days. Decent upslope flow, along with fair moisture, instability and shear would allow for organized storms, including supercells to develop. The results of my chases during this time are shown below. Everyday, I was on a storm that had a tornado warning. Click the pic for a larger image.
Beautiful shelf cloud near Tryon, NE.

Awesome nighttime lightning later that evening.

Lone storm northwest of Limon, CO on the 13th.

Tornado warning issued here as storm rode a boundary.

Looks like a landspout. One was reported at precisely this time. We were 10 miles from the landspout at the time it was reported.

Large wall cloud of a tornado warned storm on the 14th south of Limon.

Rotating storm embedded in the severe complex on the 14th.

Biggest surprise! I drove to Limon to get Caryn on the 17th, and low and behold shear was still strong. This elephant trunk tornado was on the ground for 4 minutes!
