May 25th had some hope of dryline supercells in eastern Colorado. After a landspout fest that we missed due to sticking to our target near Springfield, Colorado, we were treated to a fantastic supercell and a 10 minute cone tornado! This supercell was nearly stationary for several hours before disippating.
Very nicely structured soon to be tornadic supercell southeast of Springfield, Colorado.
Tornado touches down about a half mile from us. You can see the two vans in the foreground.
Wider shot as the tornado turns into a nice cone.
Wide as my camera will go (17mm full frame). Very nicely structured tornado.
Tornado starts the rope out process.
Extremely pretty rope out.
