An active Denver Cyclone contributed to the development of a supercell near DIA. This storm tried hard a couple of time to produce a tornado. Intense updward motion in the wall cloud was noted with a strong inflow jet on two occassions. This storm also produced copious amounts of golfball sized hail. The structure was quite pretty.
Looking northwest from Bennett, Colorado as the storm intensified.
Looking west at the high based supercell with inflow band forming. Intense hail core to the right of the updraft.
Strong upward motion on the right (east) side of the wall cloud. It had moderate rotation and persisted for 15 minutes.
Pretty structure of this high based hailer near Prospect Valley, Colorado.
Excellent "mothership" appearance to the supercell. It was moving less than 20 mph.
