Dec 28, 2010 Mount Evans Ice
Written by Roger Hill
What does a storm chaser do in the winter time? Shoot ice photos of course! No, really, Caryn and I like to travel around and take advantage of nature's own art in the form of ice from streams, waterfalls and caves. Here is an example of an afternoon of fun heading towards the summit of Mount Evans, Colorado.

Ice on the sides of a stream makes for a fun pic during a long exposure with the water flowing over the rocks.

Ice cycles hanging from a log into the streambed below make for an interesting shot.

Ice surrounds a rock in the middle of a stream.

Water cascades making a small waterfall with ice sculptures around it. My favorite shot!
