January 31st brought the coldest weather of the season. I registered -25.4F at our house! Some of the ice on the fences and the early morning sun dog made for some fantastic photo ops! The sun dog shot will be a featured full page image on the upcoming Weatherguide calendar.
Bitter cold air squeezes out ice crystals that generated this beautiful sun dog at -25.4F!
Fine ice crystals form sharp formations on trees and fences.
A look down our fence line as nature creates an artistic scene in the bitter cold air.
