Caryn and I decided to hike up Little Wild Horse slot canyon on the San Rafael swell. Slot canyons are amazing hikes their beautiful sandstone formations and erosion causing magnficent structures and plenty of fantastic photo opportunities. Little Wild Horse was about a 5 mile round trip with a few surprises around every bend. There are a few narrows areas that were a bit challenging, and a few chokestones to climb over. Only one place was it so tight that you literally had to turn sideways to get through it. With Caryn recently having knee surgery I was a bit nervous for her, but she made it through with no problems. Click on an image for a larger image!

Caryn maneuvering the first narrows.

You can see how crazy footing gets in this
shot as Caryn turns around.

Where wider gets narrow and dark. More wild textures and erosion structure.
